It’s no secret that in order to win major trophies these days, sporting teams must spend big on talent. Gone are the days where you can blood a local junior and keep him at your club without paying ridiculous wages to keep the prying vulchers at bay. Given such, there are plenty of sporting clubs around the globe paying individuals weekly wages that to the average man would be enough for several years. Here, we take a look at the World’s top ten highest paid sporting teams in 2015, based on the average weekly wages per player.
8 of the top ten are Football teams with the remaining 2 being baseball.
You may be surprised that an NFL team or two didn’t make the list, but keep in mind they have huge rosters with many players earning the bare minimum, which ultimately brings down the average wage. The Brooklyn Nets Basketball team just missed out on the tenth spot.
